A 19th Century French tailor’s mannequin by Buste Girard. The torso is constructed from a rigid form covered in aged, discolored linen or canvas. It is supported by a black metal stand featuring a cast iron base and a central pole, topped with a dark wooden finial. Prominent markings on the fabric covering include “170,” “SOLE AGENT FOR U.K. R.D. FRANKS 6 OXFORD MANSION LONDON W.I,” and “Buste Girard PARIS.”
