A Tactic Thunderbirds 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Chess Set. Comprising a rectangular metal box, likely tin, serving as packaging. The black lid features a clear display window, revealing six intricately cast metallic (likely pewter) chess pieces, styled as characters and vehicles from the series, including Thunderbird 1. The lid is prominently marked with ‘A GERRY ANDERSON PRODUCTION THUNDERBIRDS’ in red and yellow lettering, ’50 YEARS’ (with the ‘0’ stylized as a rocket), and ‘CHESS’ on the right side, alongside a ‘TACTIC’ logo. An illustration of Thunderbirds 3 launching is also visible. This item is of modern production, consistent with a contemporary collector’s item.
