A Royal Doulton bone china figurine titled Charlotte, model number HN 4303, produced as part of the Millennium 2000 collection. The figure is depicted in a standing pose, wearing a late Victorian style gown of pale celadon green with a white lace-trimmed bodice and a white shawl, holding a small book. The base bears a printed Royal Doulton backstamp featuring a lion atop a crown and a circular mark containing four interlaced D symbols, surrounded by the words MADE IN ENGLAND and BONE CHINA. The piece is also marked with a script mark reading Royal Doulton, the printed title CHARLOTTE, the model number HN 4303, a facsimile signature for the modeller Nada M. Pedley, © 1997 ROYAL DOULTON, and NEW COLOURWAY 2000. A circular Millennium 2000 clock face stamp is present, along with the hand-printed text hand made and hand decorated. A small, illegible black hand-painted mark is also visible to the underside edge.
