A Gabrielle Designs Paddington Bear plush? figure, featuring synthetic fur? and dressed in a blue felt-effect? duffle coat. The coat is detailed with four wooden toggles, a hood, and two patch pockets, worn with a floppy red felt-effect? hat and red plastic? Wellington boots. The figure retains two original card tags attached to the toggle cords. A turquoise circular tag is printed with the text Paddington Bear was designed by Shirley Clarkson in 1972 based on the character in the books written by Michael Bond and is made entirely in Yorkshire, featuring a printed signature reading SClarkson and a blue boxed C.E. mark. A brown rectangular card luggage tag is printed with DARKEST PERU To LONDON, ENGLAND Via PADDINGTON Stn. and partially visible text reading NS LTD. The soles of the boots are embossed with characters reading © 1980 PADDINGTON & CO LTD., FILMFAIR LTD., DESIGN REGISTRATION APPLIED FOR, a stylized PB monogram, and MADE IN BRITAIN.
