A pair of framed decorative miniature pictures. The first work is a ‘Portrait of a Lady’ depicted in late 17th or early 18th-century attire with a pearl necklace and a cross pendant, housed in a rectangular gilt-effect frame with a rope-twist inner border. The reverse of this frame is finished with red velvet and bears a manufacturer’s label for W.S. London featuring a VA monogram, likely for the Victoria and Albert Museum. The second work is an interior genre scene in the 17th-century Dutch manner, presented in a heavily moulded rococo-style gilt frame decorated with shell and foliate motifs. Both items bear inventory stickers marked J.1001J.
